Day 497 - The End of Following The Mozziah

I have come to the end of the 'Following' road. I shall leave this blog here for people to add their observations regarding MorrisseysWorld and the Blue Rose Society, but for me, the journey is over. I have deactivated my twitter account and won't be returning.

I have decided not to disclose why I am suddenly ending my involvement, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the mystery of MorrisseysWorld, and I have NO doubt whatsoever that Morrissey is the author.

I sincerely hope that Blue Rose continues, and is one day embraced by all Morrissey fans.

I look forward to one day reading Morrissey's authobiography, although I wouldn't be at all surprised if MorrisseysWorld doesn't even get a mention. If I outlive Morrissey, I very much look forward to reading his diaries, which I KNOW will mention MorrisseysWorld, and who knows, even my little blog might get a mention.

My thanks to everybody who has read and contributed to my blog, and thank you to Morrissey for not only reading it, but leaving comment on a regular basis, I feel unbelievably honoured.

Trouble Loves Us All, but sometimes a little too much.

  2. Dear Rats -

I am very concerned by your latest update and I feel slightly unnerved too.

Please DM me on Twitter, as I need to know why you have made your decision,
although I think it might be something that I don't want to hear.

I will miss you and your blog desperately, many thanks for all the work you
lovingly put into it. It has been so much fun xx

  20. Oh no, please don't go Rat! I guess there must be a good reason for you to abandon us all but I hate to see you go. I just hope everything is okay with you. Just when I was really getting involved everything seems to be coming to an end. My rotten luck. But what if Moz receives and wears the ring?

  31. Rat, I hope everything is okay, though I fear it is not with a sudden ending such as this one. I really hate that you're leaving as I feel it is here that we all can connect - especially when MW is down. But you must do whatever it is that is best for you. I've enjoyed reading/catching up on your blog. Take care...

  33. Just wanted to share that I've made a blog entry (with proof and all) concerning Morrissey's "rant" in Ohio the other night. If anyone is interested, please check it out.

I put it here because I don't know if you can access it through my name? Probably - but there it is, anyway. Please feel free to leave a comment :)

    Thanks

PS: Sorry for using Rat's blog to link this...Wish he'd come back...or if he's undercover, I knew more about it!

  34. That is a load of BS more attention seeking, more wanting validation via manipulation. It always works out with an expected reply. This is how one knows there really is no hope for people anymore. Not even ones you thought were worth it .

    ReplyDelete
  35. Complete crap. Allowing everyone to think something terrible has happened, reap the sympathy, then return like the lying lemming you are. What a load of rubbish. You'll see what happens here.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yep---more attention seeking. This dude is sad.

    ReplyDelete
  37. To all those who are posting (anonymously) saying i is attention seeking - forget it, I've met Ratty, I've met his friends, other people from here have met him. He does not seek attention. Whatever has caused him to leave here is important and crucial to him, that I have no doubt of.

Please, if you are a true Morrissey fan, give him breathing space.

    Thank you.

    ReplyDelete

    1. You know he has personal problems? Oh, how terrible of us all. I mean, how awful it would be to throw unsubstantiated shit at someone. That would be awful, wouldn't it? But, still, better to maintain the mystique about ther absence, don't you think?

      Delete
  38. Well, considering how many times he has said his blog is over, yet he then returns. Well, this is something of an attention-seeking behavior.

On a side note, Moz canceled the Flint show. Is this a sign?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I have to admit that it crossed my mind that Moz cancelled because the rat disappeared. I think he'd become attached to our fluffy friend..... and he wasn't the only one, rat made me laugh. I hope he comes back, he really is our glue.

    2. Yes, it is a sign that his band are flu stricken! Doh!

      Delete
  39. Well, the other one has decided to leave again; I do not know which one of the two is worse--this guy here or the guy running the Morrisseysworld site. Each them decides to disappear and return--only to do the same thing again and again. And, the laughable thing of this that the lemmings who wait for their marching orders are lost without someone telling them what to think.

Clearly, the two who run these sites are both attention-starved individuals.

  40. I am very sorry for all the fans, especially Heathercat, who are disappointed
because due to illness, three Morrissey shows have been cancelled.

The tour seems to me to be a punishing one, with many venues and a lot of
mileage to cover, plus it is winter, therefore it is not really surprising
    that this situation has occurred.

Before people ' troll ' me this is my opinion and I am not defending
anyone. Where I work people go sick ALL the time - that's life !!

Sad to see that the 2 Moz twitter accounts have gone and the MW blog.
    Please come back soon........

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Totally agree with everything you have said, Lizzy.

      Delete
    2. Illness is inevitable on a tour like this. I dearly hope the postponed concerts can be rescheduled and MW eventually returns.

      Delete
    3. Unless the Chicago date gets miraculously rescheduled before the Vegas show, I'm going to send the BRS ring to Vulgar1 (A Reyes) so she can try to hand it to Moz in Vegas. If she is unsuccessful, I believe she will pass it on to Jaz who will make an attempt in LA (please correct me if I'm wrong). Hopefully Moz will eventually get the ring somehow.

    2. Although we are ratless and mozziahless, perhaps we could find some way to celebrate anyway - after all, the rest of us are still here! Maybe we could list our favorite FTM blog post(s)? It would be fun to revisit everyone's favorites.

      Delete
    3. I've just been re-reading through a number of the early FTM blog pages, so I'll start the ball rolling with this entry; Day 77 of TRB's blog, which mentions Moz taking the first rose in Pomona and also mentions the Conan TV show, although there is no mention of the hands around the eyes doing the OO sign.
How can anybody doubt Morrissey's involvement?

    4. Thanks for getting the ball rolling. The owl eyes weren't mentioned then because it wasn't included on the YouTube clip that first appeared. It took a while for us to see it with our own eyes. OO

Although I love all of Rat's parodies, my favorite FTM post has always been 'The Blue Rose' - 7 December, 2011. For any newcomers who haven't read it and also haven't read Wilde's 'The Nightingale and the Rose,' you might want to start on Day 80, where the Wilde text appears. Day 81 also has a nice explanation of blue rose. Enjoy!

    5. I read the book, but unfortunatelly not even a 1/10 of all FTM blog or even Morrisseysworld. I can't believe how much I have missed. I will read this entry right now.

    Day 498 - Sneaking A Peek
TRBat Following The Mozziah- 6 hours ago
A series of events led to me closing my twitter account yesterday morning,
and also posting a blog entry announcing that my 'FollowingTheMozziah' days
were over.I am writing this 24 hours later, sat in my office at work, a place I
returned to yesterday lunchtime. Don't get me wrong, I haven't slept here
all night, I mean I've returned to full time office life. I absolutely
don't want to be here, but A) Writing my blog and tweeting had taken over
my life to the detriment of 'real life', B) I feel duty bound, in these
economic hard times, to be involved with a business I've run for t...more

    Day 499 - Friday January 25th 2013 - Attention Seeking
TRBat Following The Mozziah- 6 hours ago

0900 GMT: I am once again sat at my desk in my office, and I have once
again just sneeked a peek into The Twitterdilly Arms. It couldn't be more
gloomy, and makes the Black Cloud that currently sits above my head look
positively grey! It would appear that Morrissey had to cancel his concert
in Flint yesterday due to somebody/ies in the band being ill, and the next
two concerts, scheduled for tonight and Saturday have also been postponed.
What is more, both the '@MorrisseysWorld' and '@BrokenReturns' accounts
have disappeared and the MorrisseysWorld blog has gone too.It is bad news
