Day 719 (I think!) - Back to Reality

It has been 5 weeks since the MorrisseysWorld blog closed down, and TRM (The Real Morrissey) has not been seen or heard from in ages. The next part of my hilariously funny parody story, 'To Wreck, My Own Way' would have spelled out WHY I believe Morrissey has gone to ground, but as only six people bothered leaving any sort of praise for my hard graft on 'Act 1 Scene 2', I have decided NOT to bother publishing it... and anyway, I think I have a severe case of rhinitis coming on!

The Morrissey 25 LIVE film has now found it's way onto the silver screen, and the reviews have been really positive from the fans, and shit from those who don't like Morrissey! NOBODY seems to have picked up on the BLUE ROSE, which I suppose was A) Inevitable and B) Rather Pleasing. There is NO C).

With NO Moz and NO MorrisseysWorld, there really is no point in me sitting around waiting. I closed my twitter account a couple of weeks ago and the reality is that I will NEVER become a playwright or writer because I am far too lazy, so therefore, on Wednesday, I am going back to work.

It has been a blast.

Goodnight

  1. Hi Ratty!

Good to know you are still alive! I was getting worried you know... Shame about the parody story though. Isn't it enough to have Our Mozzer as a Drama Queen? Do you really need to follow suit?

Yes, no surprise about nobody noticing the blue rose, even with some nice, subtle close ups! Still, their loss and still the most delicious secret in the world!

  2. Well what did you expect, i am about to nip over to Chicago to see none other than the smoking popes (thanks our mozzer) as for the art of doing nothing ,well it has its monents..

  3. Great to finally hear from you Rats, but GOB is right, only Our Mozzer has the right to be a drama queen. Please post the rest of the story - you can't leave us hanging like this!

  4. Oh dear! Is this a case of life imitating art? The last statement on the MWblog was -

"B*gger them all. They don't deserve me anyway." Our Mozzer has decided to cancel the final parody article due to a case of severe rhinitis.

  5. I got excited when I saw the blue rose in the film. Sigh. Makes me remember the good ole days and reminds me what could have been.

  9. Glad to know that you are still in the land of the living Ratty.

Your goodbyes are beginning to equal the number of Sinatra's comebacks.

Blue rose in the Moz film was awesome - for those that knew the significance
    of it.

I would love to read the rest of your parody piece. Pretty please.

  10. Hey Rats,
It's lovely to see another post from you and hope your severe case of rhinitis clears up quickly! It's dismaying that you're being a bit of a 'diver' about publishing the continuation of your hilariously funny parody story and here's hoping you'll reconsider your stance on this! Until then, take good care and best wishes on your return to the working world!

  13. Enjoy your break I hope to read a parody piece in the future the subject of which will be Moz and Boz sneeking into the movie theater and being the only ones to applaude when the Blue Rose makes its appearence. You can add the other comical bits. Such as Rosy finally eating her hat or whatever it was that she promised. I just hope my prompt gets your creative juices flowing.
    Take care friend.

  15. Hi Ratty! I got to see Morrissey25Live a few times. Thanks to SpectiCast for hooking me up w/ tix! First time I seen it amazing, there was Moz heads & a few ppl I knew. A few knew about BRS I was literally yelling it out everytime I saw the roses (blueroses). The 2nd time I seen it was an event at the iPic Theatre in Pasadena who showed it twice. The showing I went to sold out! & many recognized the blueroses the BRS & applauded. I was happy that they did! I like the part in the film when u can hear our V.P Angie VulgarMKELA yelled out 'BlueRoseSociety'!!! Their were many fans who were at the H.H.S show at the showing, so yes many know about the BRS, it's like they act like if they don't! Yea right! Anywho...Hi everybody! Hope everyones doing good & Im happy for the success of the film.
    Much Luv,

  17. I wish you luck in all your endeavors, but if you ever get the time it would be nice to see the parody. It's hard to believe that summer is over, mainly because here it's in the 90's and humid, July and August weren't that warm. Not that my summer was that great, besides not being able to see Moz25, my car got erear ended, I had foot surgery, the wash machine and the dog died and the teen across the street was murder(first murder in 15yrs for the town) And 1st weekend in Sept we had non stop Harleys rumbling by the house as it was Harley Davidson's 110th anniversary. At least this year they had Kid Rick for the entertainment at their 100th they had Elton John and the bikers almost started a riot. Have fun back at work. #BlueRoseSociety

    2. Fancy, Sorry to hear about the washing machine. What make and model was it? I have a very old top loader that is still going strong after 40+ years. What have you replaced it with?

    3. Thank you for the well wishes. I've learned that with family and friends nothing seems too bad to weather, and you never know where or when you'll find joy. I was reading this blog when I heard a noise at my feet. looked down and there was Skye our cockatiel. Some how she'd gotten out of her cage and with clipped wings made the long trek down the hall to the room I was in. I'll admit the dog was a tough one to handle as she was 14 and although I wasn't really close the girl who was murdered, I feel bad for her family and it's creepy having it so close to my house and having the police wait 2 weeks to release if it was a murder-cause of death still hasn't been revealed. The washer was a Sears Kenmore about 15 yr old. Luckily, some one I knew bought a house a few days later and had 2 washers and I got one. I send good wishes to all. #BlueRoseSociety

    5. Things go in threes Fancy - your dog, your foot and the washing machine. Now things are going to improve for you I hope. I wish you the very best for the autumn season !

  18. This is for Len E Lione - you are lucky to have an old top-loader
washing machine. I have to wash everything in the bath and use a
mangle afterwards. It's good exercise !

    I must roar off now............gOOdbye.

  19. So sorry to hear the news that TRM's book called brilliantly ' Autobiography '
was due to be published by Penguin on Monday ( who knew ? ) and the publication
has now been pulled due to disagreement about content.

    So near yet so far........

I hope he finds a new publisher soon.

    1. I didn't know about the publishing date either. Don't think anybody did! Anyway, it just sounds typical Our Mozzer to me - drumming up publicity for it by being, well, Moz about it! I would definitely have a disagreement with Penguin over the cover - could do better!!!
