Day 870 - "Blue Rose Society will never die" - Morrissey France 2014

It has been a really bizarre week in the life of MorrisseysWorld and the Blue Rose Society, and there is SO, SO much that I want to write about and catch up with, but unfortunately I just have no time over the next few days, so this will be my last blog post until next week. Hopefully next week I will be able to report all the recent events, which include; me being maliciously 'outed' against my will on twitter by a cyclist from Coventry, being threatened and having my privacy invaded by a treehugger from London and receiving abuse at the hands of an older woman who claims to like cats.... and these were ALL members of the Blue Rose Society! You couldn't make this up.

However, much more importantly, Morrissey has issued a statement on my previous blog entry saying, "Blue Rose Society will never die." Broken has also tweeted to say "keep pruning the tree", as the BRS has to have the people in it that Morrissey wants to be surrounded by. Despite Chuck's insistence that Broken PROVES to her the words of others, rather than taking his word., it would appear that Broken still wants Chuck around, and I understand his reasons. She is a kind well meaning person, so I hope she can drop the insistence and show 'support' for BrokenMorrissey, ie a Pessoa of Morrissey's that portrays his 'broken' side, a side that over the years has probably threatened to engulf him completely. I hope this makes sense to Chuck. Green Carnation was an organisation of Wilde's SUPPORTERS, and BRS is a group of Morrissey SUPPORTERS. No questioning. Support. Don't mistake this for fawning, he gets that in the outside world, SUPPORT means trust, belief, and acceptance that what Morrissey stands for, is what you yourself stand for. A cult? No. A common goal? Yes.

I do so wish I had time to write more today, I especially wanted to mention the hilariously coincidental tweet sent by Joe Chiccarelli, but it can wait until Monday.

So, for now, I must rather excitedly report that 'Fire' has sent me an email. There is so much about this email that I also want to discuss, but instead, I will invite the members of BRS to leave their own observations and comments. There were two photos attached to the email, of  books that 'Fire' has purchased whilst in France. I will publish the photos on Monday, as I am having to type today's blog entry on my phone (my laptop has died) and it is very restrictive. One of my own observations is that the subject matter of 'When last I Spoke to Carol' (ie Carol Weissweiller) has 'lost' the 'e' to her name, in much the same way that 'Jeane' gained an e. The subject of the Trilogy Ring and it's mention in 'This Charming Man' is UNBELIEVBLE. We are being given information (or at least theories) that Smiths fans would die for.

Anyway, enough of my observations, let's have yours, and that does NOT include you, Marcus Markou, your views are NOT welcome here, and if you post any, I will take it as continued harassment.

Words of Fire:

Dear Rodent friend,

I recently started reading your blog on recommendation from someone I dearly love and I enjoyed your passion, dedication and keen interest in the Arts.
So I decided to write a few theories that were very well received and I felt I had found a place for my hyperactive mind to fulfil its never ending need for recognition.
Unfortunately, the excitement was short-lived and what I once saw as a community of kind, generous and intelligent people turned into a place of public bashing, which is something I have always run away from.
I was highly disappointed to see you had deleted all the posts and comments that were made in connection to the Arts (Cocteau et al.)
It was a definite sign for me that my contribution was no longer needed.

I am not judging your choices in any way, I find honourable you would want to stick by 'Broken' believing he IS the real deal, it shows you are and always have been committed to the ONE person you started the blog for. Whether you are right or wrong is irrelevant as long as you believe what you are doing is the right thing to do for Morrissey himself.

I hope you understand my decision to step away. It is nothing personal. As a matter of fact, I really enjoyed our conversations (with you and the other members of the BRS), I thought you were all extremely sweet to me at all times.
I just cannot find my place in all of this anymore and given I have a lot on my plate right now (with a side of delicious organic French vegetables), it might just be the right time to go back to what I usually do.

You asked me a lot of questions and I tried to answer as much as I could but like I once said to you, some things are better left unsaid (or just cannot be said) but I still had more to tell. So as a farewell gift, I will try and give you a few additional answers.

- The RANK code. There is no code. It's not a code, it's a message. It's a painful cry. It's so painful that it cannot be told to the world and like I said to you recently, I should not have mentioned it. There aren't any numbers in Alexandra's eyes, the answer is in the words, the choice of songs. I cannot say any more, I am sure you can make your own opinion from that but please let this one go.

- WHO took the photo with Auntie Mary is irrelevant. It definitely was taken in the Summer of 1976. And the hair IS dreadful.

- Was 'William it was really nothing''s sleeve in relation to Jean Cocteau? No, it was not. The original ADS advert stated 'Will you still respect your speakers in the morning?' and it sort of echoed with the theme of the song. How can you stay with a fat girl etc. and so, will you still respect yourself in the morning? The whole idea seemed to make sense and the photo was a perfect illustration of the idea.

-What's my 'Cocteau theory'?
Well that's a bit long to explain so I will have to keep it short and let you do a bit of research should you be interested but don't feel like you have to.
Cocteau's influence was particularly present in the early Smiths records, although no one ever seemed to pick up on that. Everything tends to be associated to Oscar Wilde. But it is only because people are lazy and lack knowledge. So imagine my excitement when you first mentioned Genet / Cocteau / Marais / Radiguet on your blog!
Back to the theory.
The glove is very present in Cocteau's art (see 'La belle et la bete' movie - The glove is a character by itself. It is magical and full of meaning) and Cocteau once said about Radiguet (after he died) that he "fitted heaven like a glove" and "Radiguet was a glove from heaven" or something along those lines, I am sure you can find exact quotes somewhere.
My 'theory' is that 'Hand in Glove' was maybe inspired by this...?
And like I mentioned before, the sleeve reminds me of the Cocteau tapestry at Villa Santo Sospir but it might just be coincidence or plain wrong.

Then came 'This charming man' with the famous Jean Marais picture (taken from Orpheus, a Cocteau movie) - Marais being Cocteau's lover, the song could be about that? I don't know...
As for the line 'Return the ring', my theory is that it is a reference to the Cartier ring that was designed for Jean Cocteau, called Trilogy. A few words about it here : http://www.troisanneaux.com/articles/jean-cocteau-the-trinity-or-troisanneaux-ring/
Totally far-fetched. I am just losing my mind.

There were more references to Cocteau later like on Hatful of Hollow or other things I mentioned on your blog before.
Even later in the solo years does Cocteau appear at times, doesn't he?
Could 'When last I spoke to Carol' be about Carole Weisweiller, daughter of Francine Weisweiller and owner of the famous Villa Santo Sospir, and grew up at Cocteau and Marais's side? No, of course not, Carole was not born in 1975! Silly me.

I must go. I found some gems today while book shopping in a dusty French store I cannot wait to dive into (see photos attached).
Have you read 'La difficultĂ© d'ĂȘtre' (The difficulty of being)? So inspiring. So true. So Cocteau.

Be happy, be handsome, be confident, be true to yourself, be iconic, be real. It was nice meeting you (virtually that is), some day I might bump into you. Who knows?

One last thing. I am NOT Broken, I am NOT MorrisseyParody, I am NOT Brokenmorrissey, I am NOT Johnny Morris, I am NOT Linder (although I would love to have her natural grace), I am not even called Fifi (but that I bet you had guessed). You think I am a woman, Willow thinks I am a man, most think I am an illusion of the mind, that I don't exist. And from now on, they are right.

Me. And nobody else.

  3. A dreadful week, & my heart goes out to Rat & Broken for what they have had to endure. I am proud to be a member of The Blue Rose Society, & Mr Rat & Morrissey have my full support, respect & affection. The insight's from Fire into the Jean Cocteau/Smiths connections are fascinating - gold dust for us fans! I have "The Difficulty of Being" so may peruse that later.
And Mr/Ms Fire (I never said you were a man...a public menace maybe..), you will be missed, & you will always be Fifi the flirty filly to me! x

  5. Dear Rat, cheers for your constant research for connection between Moz Art and Cocteau and all the other things related, this is truly amazing, but I can't be happy for all the rest, because is very sad seeing all of us arguing each others as a war. I will never desist to search for new armony, don't now how, but I'll try. About the pic of teen Moz I got to say that he looks so tender and compared to his beautiful Auntie he looks to old to be a boy and to young to be a man, in Italy we say an unpretty little duck who will turn in a magnificent swann! Still don 't know who post the pic. Enjoy your week end and please try to find a new armony. Kiss and hug by Romina, a total mess with her new mobile.

Wait...wait... I was going to throw all caution to the wind for a second.. but I think instead now, I'll just adjust my habit.

Oh, what's that? You say you didn't know this about me?

Yes, yes, I'm afraid it's all true.

I moonlight with the rest of the sisters... the fifth Thursday of every month.

And when that happens... make no mistake - that's more than enough for me.

Padre Kev was in the kitchen preparing breakfast to the sound of Dexys. Rowland my man, I said, thanks. I have had a hell of a night, I'm going to the dormitorio.

I don't think I will get out again any time soon but I love my Blue Rose Society and Morrissey so I must try.

Oh well, I am here in this internet pub thing - oh, thank you, double gin and tonic please - keeping in touch with my Blue Rose friends. Damn, the monastery door will be closed by the time I get out of here.

  16. What Broken in particular and Rat have endured this week has burnt me to the core. I don't understand why a small number of the women in BRS have bullied them like this. I was around a few years ago when Sabine did exactly the same to Broken, JMH and others and I can only echo what Broken, Manclad, JMH, Rat and Our Mozzer himself have said about Sabine: she's not a very nice person. I still have a photograph of Sabine's homophobic tweet which shocked me at the time and if anyone wants it, just drop me an email. I'm only offering to send a copy to others because of her denials and bullying of others.

"And just to let you know that if anybody does think of emailing my employers to make allegations against me then the matter will be referred to the police for harassment and stalking." - Sabine, 2014.

Sabine has made by now a lot of homophobic comments and attacks on Broken. She's made fun in the most heart-breaking way of the darkest moment in his life - who can forget what she said in 2011-2012? She's bullied the victim of homophobia and bullying for standing up to the abuse, she's got her friends to join in (shame on you Lizzy - I liked and like you; expected more of you) and she's even posted Rat's real name to try to bully him into shutting the blog down - again for standing up to her disgusting abuse of Broken.

Sabine's broken hate speech laws, bullied someone on the internet, posted someone's personal details, and now she wants to play the victim? What exactly has anyone done to Sabine? From a distance all I can see is lots of bullying from her and her friends and a couple of guys standing up admirably against her prejudice. Shame on those who defend her homophobic comments, and also those who defend her because they like her without knowing the full extent of what she's said and done.

Even her own friends confirmed what Broken said. What more proof do you need?

I'm sorry but if Sabine had any dignity, she'd leave this site and stop bullying people, she'd stop playing the victim adher latest comment is a joke. She's broken a few laws by now and the proof is available. She's "stalked and harassed" rat in his own language, she's homophobically abused broken (illegal) and now she wails for sympathy.

Sorry, guys - let's get back to what BRS was all about. It's about love, acceptance, community. It's about Morrissey. It's not about a nasty bigot who lashes out in this nasty way every so often at everyone, bullies people, and tries to turn people against one another. Be strong, we can survive this. Peace and love to Rat and Broken.

If Sabine and Lizzy want to do this, let them go to so-low.

Broken forgave Sabine a year or two ago after what we all know she said to him. For her to rub his nose in it, liken homosexuality to child abuse and behave in this way all over again proves she didn't deserve forgiveness. Sabine is a cruel woman. And for those claiming she's been 'crucified' - exposing bigots and cruel people with a few firm words of truth is the least they deserve, Rat and Broken's quiet dignity is to be applauded. My heart goes out to you both, not the bigot and stalker.

    Lots of love.

    Luke.

  19. Merci beaucoup Fifi, for these intriguing possible Cocteau connections - they give us much to think about. Your contributions are always welcome and needed. It might also be worth mentioning the Cocteau quote that you tweeted recently: "Sun, I am black outside and rose inside which is the metamorphosis." You implied that this quote may have inspired the beloved lyric, "I wear black on the outside 'cause black is how I feel on the inside."

I'm also interested in the 'Hand in Glove' mention because that song was already on my mind lately, as it defines the BRS for me, so I'm intrigued by the Cocteau connection. You had already pointed out the artwork as being reminiscent of Cocteau's naked blue man, and now there's the apparent glove connection. I've noticed that the sun seems to be a recurrent theme in Cocteau's work (e.g. the black sun in the Crucifixion mural at Notre Dame de France as well as the quote I mentioned above and other pieces). Would it be too far-fetched to wonder if there could be a possible connection with the lyric, "the sun shines out of our behinds"? I'm having more trouble following the connections in This Charming Man (what specifically suggests the Trilogy ring?), but there is a bicycle accident in Orpheus, which might possibly explain the "punctured bicycle" lyric.

I apologize for the length of this comment, but because I didn't have time to post a full comment on the previous entry, I just wanted to say what blue rose represents in my eyes. Rats had mentioned that it could represent humasexuality, which is a great thought, but for me it's more all-encompassing than that. The point of humasexuality is total freedom to be ourselves, free from societal constraints and expectations, so for me blue rose extends that idea to all aspects of our beings. No matter what makes us unique and different from others, the message of blue rose and all of Morrissey's music is that it's OK to be you, regardless of what the world thinks. Hand in Glove screamed this message to me when I first heard it 30 years ago and it's been my theme song of personal salvation ever since. Therefore, I think it has a special connection with BRS, which Ratty has previously blogged about, and the possible Cocteau connections make it even more special.

Your behaviour is disgusting. stop babbling about some sort of witch hunt! You eman rat's article saying saine was wrong and prejudiced? That's a fucking witch hunt? WHAT planet do you live on?

    2. I agree Anon. There is no witch-hunt. Just some ill-advised people stirring the pot and keeping it on the boil, constantly. If they keep absolving Sabine, we are forced to repeat why she has erred. If they'd shut up, or better admit she was wrong and deserves condemnation for her words and actions, then we could draw a line under it all.

But criticism of Sabine is NOT necessary. We're compassionate people. All we want is Sabine's friends to stop harassing and lying about us!

And they can't even do that. See my parody piece. It gives an accurate timeline of events. Perhaps Rat could 'soup it up' and post it on the front page. Then OM could offer a few 'corrections.'

  23. LOL these idiots don't know what a 'witch hunt' is when they said rat's doing a witch hunt! He wrote an article saying sabine was weong and prejudiced - that's all. That's a GOOD thing, not a bad thing!

Rat was then harassed, his privacy invaded, personal details posted (by the sabine character), lizzy laughed along at this, then he was personally abused, homophobically abused.

All because he posted an article correcting her repeated homophobia in quite gentle words! WHAT is wrong with these people? What is their malfunction that 2 or 3 of them side with someone who's bullied in theseways:

homophobia at least 3 times now - used word f*g (photo exists, thanks Luke0 - PROOF!

Not only this, Sabine admitted she used it in 2011 and apologised

Now she LIES claiming she never said it, then her son said it

Luke has a photograph of the tweet and it will be stored on her twitter profile

this tweet is homophobic hate crime and illegal

Sabine also bullied broken when he admitted he'd attempted suicide

    She mocked this (illegal trolling)

then she turned as many as she could against him!!!!!!
I was there and she did the same to me.

She also did the same to JMH and others who defended broken

Sabine apologised for this in 2011

In 2014 she homphobically abused broken again comparing homosexuality to child abuse and blocked him for tweeting about Justin bieber! "It's just wrong" she said, after posting many pics of Morrissey over the years! She's 45 and posts pics of Morrissey age 26 but Broken age 33 postng pics of Bieber, age 20 is 'abuse' or 'wrong!'

As broken once said if a man of 40 posted a pic of Miley Cyrus she'd probably be cacklinh along!

As a result of all this bullying and hate, RAT has been bullied whose only crime was telling the truth and pointing out her prejudiced comments.

Broken was bullied more aggressively for standing up to her more assertively.

Chuck, Lizzy and oters are a disgrace. Look to heather and ears as examples of good behaviour.

Even better is rat himself and the SMALL group of others who defended broken and rat and condemned sabine as all should do for her admitted homophobia and lies and bullying.

If she wants to phone the police she should do so. I'd happily explain how she's stalking rat and illegally bullying broken!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Sabine is out of order for what she's done. She said "he's such a fag" to broken. Now why are you defending her? Broken is doing the right thing by letting everyone know how nasty she is. He's not bullying her at all. You would do the same if someone made an offensive remark towards you, you wouldn't let them get away with it would you?

Your main claim to the original argument was that you wanted PROOF, PROOF, PROOF. Well today, at 13.08, on this blog, you posted, " I never bullied broken. HE bullied ME. Massively." Where is your PROOF Chuck? WHERE? WHERE? WHERE? That is how it works isn't it, so PROOF it... but actually, don't bother.

I have respected your request not to mention you, I have un-followed you on twitter, and I have even allowed your comments to stay posted on MY blog, but this is now the end of the matter.
If you post any further comments, they will be deleted.
      End.

    3. Thank you Rat.

With a heavy heart, the time has come to ban Chuck from MW/FTM/BRS. I've been patient, I really have. I put up with her bizarre defence of Sabine based on the notion that witness statements from her two best Twitter friends Lizzy and Heather were proof of nothing and that her apology for homophobically abusing me was also 'not proof.' I have sought to explain, often assertively, why mocking a suicide attempt, making fun of the mentally ill and using inflammatory anti-gay language is unacceptable. I've engaged with Chuck. I've ignored her. But enough is enough.

After bullying me for objecting to homophobic abuse, she is now claiming I bullied her! Massively! But oh - there's no proof, and, unlike in the case of Sabine, no apology from me, no eye witness statement from two of my friends, and no stream of people admitting I bullied anyone.

There is a line in the sand.

Rat and I don't expect payment, we don't expect love, we don't expect a place in Heaven for running BRS, for blogging almost daily and for entertaining you all for three years.

But neither do we expect, or deserve, a stream of abuse from the very people who use our blogs, bullying, and then further bullying and harassment when we dare to condemn the homophobia/prejudice.

      Enough is enough.

At this stage, Chuck doesn't even seem to know what she's saying.

Ban her. She's ruining this for me and turning it into a witch-hunt, when all she had to do was say, "yes what Sabine said was wrong, yes posting rat's personal information was wrong, I didn't see the other things that Heather and Lizzy did, or JMH, Broken, Manclad and Luke did, but the homophobia is wrong, and an article stating this is perfectly reasonable." Or even -- just say nothing.

Why wage war against Rat and me for defending ourselves against this abuse and harassment?

      Sorry, Chuck, and goodbye.

    5. after harassing a genuine bullying victim, broken, for proof for days, when the proof was everywhere, have you seen her proof that broken bullied her?

    1. LOL that's bullying?

      My God!

      Seek Help!

Seriously - and this is the worst thing I've ever said to you!

On the one hand homophobic abuse, vile comments about the mentally ill, mocking a suicide attempt, lying about this all, using the word f*g, trying to turn people against me, not once but twice, and succeeding in the case of a small number of people, and then, not content, comparing homosexuality to child abuse, blocking me and harassing Rat by illegally posting private information.

On the other hand, the above statement about chuck!

    3. I had no idea how pathetic you were chuck. When broken was bullied, crying wasn't enough, you needed written proof. When you're bullied, tears are all the proof required.

I've just been chopping some onions, which means you've just bullied me.

    4. I don't know if you realise this chuck but you're coming across badly here. I've never had any past experiences with you that were bad so take this as friendly feedback.

Broken has gone through some serious bullying here with lots of evidence. You've 'grilled' him from what I've read here and claimed he's bullied you, and the only evidence you have is his comment above which obviously refers to the parody where he made you cry in the parody piece in the coffee shop!

I don't think you're the type, but it almost looks as though you're trying to take the piss out of broken over the homophobia by drawing an equivalency between this and what girl on bike said!

Do you realise how bad it makes you look to claim what's written above is bullying when it's referring to the parody piece?!

  31. Marcus appears to have caught on to how nasty some of the comments were. Which is fair enough.

But I did also find his argument that we can't hold someone who is demonstrably homophobic to account simply because they're 'real' and we are 'not real' to be facile.

On that basis, Marcus and Sabine can say anything they want to us, and we can be abused in any way imaginable with no recourse. No, that's not right, is it? Basic decency supervenes. Besides, a number of people know me in real life as 'broken' and I imagine the same is true of Rat. Particularly in light of Sabine's 'hilarious' harassment and posting of personal information quite illegally.

Ban against LizzyCat - upheld, for a minimum period of 3 months.

Ban against Chuck - upheld, for a minimum period of 1 month.

    All rise.

    2. Judge Morr-ee-say. Fantastic. It's just a shame that OM didn't write this whole episode as an updated 'Bans and Ejections' piece.

On another note, IF OM and Broken ARE Morrissey, as I have mentioned once or twice that I think they are, then it would appear that there is not much recording work going on in Francais!

  33. I did before think Broken was a bully but that was because of the arguments we both had in the past and because of that I didn't trust him. But now I can see what a prick I've been to him. Broken isn't a bully he just doesn't accept ignorance. Sabine made an ignorant remark towards Broken and he just pointed it out. You owe Broken an apology for attacking him and defending the real bully.
