Day 1154 - What Now?

It would appear that neither Kerry Action or Hoarsely Cry took a blue rose to Gothenburg last night. All Morrissey asked us to do was to take him a rose, but with the exception of a very small handful, no one cares enough to do it. I am not aware of any BlueRoseSociety members going to any more of the concerts prior to London, so just like MorrisseysWorld, the BRS is now laying dormant. It seems like a very long time ago since those two days in May, when I wrote that it was Like Christmas Day for the BRS. Thursday May 8th was the last day Morrissey wore a blue rose.

If Morrissey had known that there was going to be such a lack of blue roses on this European tour, he may have accepted the rose in Lisbon, or EARS rose in Rome, or Inge's rose in Vienna, but at the time it all seemed too early in the tour for him to do it.

I will wear my blue rose to the O2 with pride, but am under no illusions about getting it to Moz. The question is, what now for the BRS?

  1. The lack of blue roses on this tour is disappointing.
It is up to the few of us left to keep the spirit of BRS alive.

    1. Because we must. How quickly those glorious days in May and all the coincidences have been forgotten by most.

  4. I will never loose faith- although lately things just don't feel like they used to be. I miss so much that used to happen around here. So many signs , secrets , things hidden - meanings etc. Maybe it's me, I really don't know anymore . The only way to put it is things went from Highspeed WIFI to Dial-Up. Someone Please hold up a Sign in the near future....Hope

    3. as the hoardes dwindle to a dozen and the dozen start to drop away one by one, I hear the crunching of the snow beneath my feet, wait, is this it, just MY footprints in the snow, a sign, a sign, is all I seek, looking up forlornly at the bright north star it reminds me of that famous Kenneth Williams quote "oh what's the bloody point"
