Day 1297 - BRS Back On

I have interrupted my FTM sabbatical to bring exciting news.... Morrissey has announced a new US tour, which starts in June. "June, June, June" I hear some of my regular readers cry, but as tempted as I am to mention the relevance of this, the mysterious MorrisseysWorld character, Jon the Con, has been sent to issue me with a gagging order, so from here on in, there will be no more mention of Alf or his seductive button. Here is Jon's message:

"Hhahah. He's playing Madison Square Garden as suggested by the blog... surely another UNEXPECTED SIGN?!?!?!

What is more he's playing.... a masonic temple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on guys - BRS back on.

But rat needs to stop being a twat and stop promoting alf. Broken and MW told him not to. But the c*** is ignoring them. He's his own worst enemy at times.

Farage for PM!!!!!
Jon"

NIGEL FARAGE (UKIP) - THE ONLY PARTY LEADER WANTING TO TAKE BRITAIN OUT OF THE EUROPEAN UNION - INFAMOUSLY 'LIKED' BY MOZ - AND TODAY CELEBRATING HIS 51ST BIRTHDAY

As Jon the Con mentioned in his comment, Morrissey has announced that he will be playing Madison Square Gardens, and what is more, he will have Blondie supporting. How I dearly wish that I could go and see this concert, especially as it will be the first time since 1991 that Moz has played The Gardens, but unfortunately for me it has been organised for June 27th, and that weekend I will be in Jersey (the original Jersey, not New Jersey) playing cricket! Never mind.

MORRISSEY PLAYING MADISON SQ GARDENS IN 1991 (A SCHEDULED CONCERT FOR 2007 WAS CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS)

Our Mozzer did indeed mention Madison Sq Gardens back in 2012 (which I incorporated into a parody piece), and the playing of the Masonic Temple in Detroit is obviously MW linked, and quite hilarious. What is more, the 1500 all seater Masonic Temple looks an ideal place to get on stage with a rose.

THE JACK WHITE THEATRE (FORMERLY THE SCOTTISH RITE THEATRE) WITHIN THE DETROIT MASONIC TEMPLE - SAVED BY JACK WHITE WHO PAID THEIR TAX BILL IN 2013

The US tour is scheduled to finish in San Jose, which was the scene of the infamous Blue Rose Society Concert in May of last year; in which Moz sang Trouble Loves Me for the first time in 8 years, and also gave us I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday, Hand In Glove, Life is a Pigsty and The National Front Disco. I invite my readers to read back through my blog entry (and the comments) of that San Jose concert, to remind themselves just how exciting the whole event was: http://followingthemozziah.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/day-967-morrissey-shows-way-in-san-jose.html

The opening act in San Jose will be Amanda Palmer (who two years ago offered to crowdsource Morrissey's next album), whose debut album was entitled, Who Killed Amanda Palmer, which was a nod to Twin Peaks. Jigsaw, jigsaw, jigsaw.

BRS is indeed "back on".

*Goes off singing* Good times, for a change.

  1. well not one person can be taken by surprise of the usa tour, everything pointed that way once he announced the Firefly festival.. Oh MSG, at last, at last.. of course the latest arena tour helped prove that Moz can fill big stadiums apart from Los Angeles, which may have been on their minds.. as for the 2nd album I still wait for its release with baited breath.. forward with Moz

  2. Hi Ratty, you'll never know how mych I'm wishing to go to NY and see Morrissey in MSG, plus I always loved Blondie and never saw her live and always desired to look like her...without success. Well sometimes wishing very hard is the first step for seeing a dream coming true....oh I think I misspelled the tense or the consecutio temporum, anyway Happy Easter to you all ciao!

  3. My head is still spinning from excitement and trying to determine which concert dates I can attend. I'm hoping for a Bieber reference at MSG as a nod to the MW fave 'Never Say Never' film.

    1. I wonder if Moz and Boz actually did watch the Bieber film whilst in the Isle of Man on Aug 3rd 2011 - my guess is that they did! And here is a reminder of the review, which can still be found here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1702443/reviews?filter=chrono;filter=chrono;start=50

An inspiring tale of success against all the odds - Author: bboorer from Isle of Man, England
      3 August 2011

"I'm not one for crying but I have to admit I cried my eyes out during this movie. Justin Bieber reveals himself to be a thoroughly likable guy with a good nose for a pop song. I thought it was amazing how he continued fighting against everything that came his way to achieve his goal of success as an artist. I cried profusively in the final scenes.

Watching this heart-rendering movie made me re-evaluate my own life-goals and career. As someone who dreamed of being the next Buddy Holly as a kid I can't help but think I lost my insperation somewhere along the long and dusty road. Doing what I do now is OK but it's just not what I signed up for. As Justin says, "never give up on you're dreams." The man is a true inspiration for all and this movie proves what a decent all-round lad he is and what a superb role model for youngsters. This movie has it all - twists and turns, interal and external demons and a story of success and redemption.

I recommend highly. Best movie I've seen since 'Terminator' with Arnie back in the day."

  5. I came back on Twitter. I asked for JB in his white Topman pants. And nobody sent me anything. Nobody. I may as well have asked for blue roses.

Do you take me seriously? Do you none of you take me seriously?

I am always very serious about JB in his white Topman pants. I can assure you that I would be even more serious about him out of them.

As the moment has passed and I can't wait forever, I have a date with Mlle Striptease now.

Fickle me, fickle me, fickle me.

  6. Think about it!!!! MW once said a sign would be if he mentioned 'sarah palmer.' Remember?!?!?!

Now he tours with Amanda Palmer out of the blue who once posed as Laura Palmer (daughter of Sarah from Twin Peaks!!!!!)

The references are coming thick and fast ! Class!!! LOL

    WHATEVER NEXT...?

    ReplyDelete
  7. WILL HE MENTION SARAH OR LAURA PALMER OR TWIN PEAKS? MENTIONING TWIN PEAKS OR SARAH PALMER WOULD BE A SIGN!!!!

OR WILL HE USE THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE A TWIN PEAKS THEMED TOUR WITH BOZ FINALLY DRESSED AS LOG LADDY!!!

    1. Boz as Log Lady would certainly re-ignite the MW flame - but they still wouldn't believe.

  8. Another Twitter exchange today between Astraea and Alf. My take is that Alf is the real Morrissey and he is just being himself on Twitter whilst all his fans ignore him; presuming him to be a fake. If I am right, then this is probably why Rat has had a gagging order put on him by OM; who is actually Morrissey being a parody of Morrissey. Parody Morrissey would certainly not want his turf walked on by another Morrissey, especially the real one. It all makes perfect sense. The real Morrissey is now free to use Twitter whenever he wants, even stating that he is Morrissey, and all are none the wiser. The last thing Morrissey would want is an over enthusiastic rodent messing things up by keep mentioning Alf.
I echo Jon's words and advise Rat to stop writing about Alf - and then we can have both.

    1. Welcome Kerry Ann... I wonder which of our small troupe you are, and why do you feel the need to use a different name? I have already stated in today's blog that I will not mention Alf again.

    2. loving the name Kerry Ann Kemping

    3. Thank you manc lad. The Kemping family tree branches off in many directions. With Rat now banned from mentioning Alf, perhaps the rest of us should leave comment regarding Alf's tweets. For example, who spotted the one yesterday about the summer, just before the summer tour was announced?

  9. Wonderful news, a summer 2015 Morrissey US tour. The date with Blondie should be epic at MSG. The Detroit Masonic Temple looks like an amazing concert venue.
Mr. Rat, I checked the Masonic Temple website, there are actually 2 auditoriums. You have a picture of the Masonic Theater which holds 4,404. They also have the Jack White Theater which holds 1.586. I wonder which one Our Moz will be playing? I only checked because that pic looked like more than a 1,500 seat venue.

    1. The Jack White Theater holds 1,586 not 1.586 (that would be really small), sorry.

    2. According to the tour poster on TTY, the venue will be the Scottish Rite Theatre within the Masonic Temple, which has a capacity of 1600. Definitely some nice, small venues on this tour - wish I could go to all of them!

    4. I have now changed the picture to the Scottish Rite Theatre; although according to Wiki, it's name was changed to the Jack White Theatre in 2013. It still looks the perfect place for an on stage rose delivery.

    5. You are correct, the theatre was renamed in 2013, so why has Moz referred to it as the Scottish Rite Theatre? It's an obvious nod to MW. OO

  14. Following the appearance of both Astraea and AlfsButton on twitter earlier today, I was half expecting to see a new FTM entry documenting their conversation, but I am glad to see that our resident rodent has taken heed of his warnings.
It's funny how Astraea and AlfsButton keep appearing on twitter at the same time; just as Broken and Astraea used to, and yet no one seems to be putting two and two together. Anyone who doubted that AlfsButton was Morrissey can surely now see that he is, and it would now appear that Morrissey very intentionally made false predictions as AlfsButton to give the character no credibility and deflect attention away from him. The tweet of last Thursday; that predicted the American tour before an official announcement was made, was no coincidence, and suggests that perhaps AlfsButton will start to make predictions that come true, harping back to the old MW days of 2011 when accurate predictions were regularly made - and ignored.
What was it AlfsButton tweeted on Thursday, oh yes, "All you need to know is I cannot stand European Summers. Call me your American boy." Only the DDD noticed it. The next day AlfsButton tweeted, "How can they look into my button and still they don't believe me."
To the outside world, AlfsButton is just another faker pretending to be Morrissey - it's yet another masterstroke by Moz as he continues to use Twitter unnoticed. AlfsButton has just 87 followers.

As Rat isn't able to mention AlfsButton, let me help out by giving a little feedback on his tweets.
"I will forever be remembered as I was in 1987'
"My arms drop to the side as I come to terms with the fact that I will never be Jobriath"
"Insanity is where the interest is."
"Sordid streets stab at my seedy mind"

Today's conversation between AlfsButton and Astraea ended with AlfsButton saying, "People usually look and then look away. It's too confusing for most."

    1. Hello again mysterious (and very observant) Kerry Ann. Thank you for your input. Did you also notice that when I asked Alf if the Scottish Rite Theatre was where Oscar Wilde had spoken, Alf relied quick as a flash that it was not. That Alf knows his stuff!

    2. Stop mentioning him, you c***. Leave the AlfsButton comments to the rest of us.

  15. I just watched a very interesting video of Amanda Palmer, speaking about her view on the relationship between artist and audience: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMj_P_6H69g

She talks about how she once worked as a human statue on a street, and how fulfilling the intimacy of occasional encounters was for her, and about her general approach of not 'making' people buy her music, but instead 'asking' for it - which obviously works very well for her. I see the same approach in Morrissey's recent appeals to download Kiss Me A Lot (which, I'm sure, all of us have done already).

That wouldn't strike me as odd so much, if Our Mozzer hadn't been the complete opposite - demanding that his audience crawls on the floor before he even considers to publish more of his art.

    He certainly is Two People.

  16. If rat mentions alf once more - however quiet MW is that week; and however minor the mention - MW is dead forever.

The idiot has now been warned five times; he will not be warned again.
