  1. In the midst of nothingness, it's nice to see that the chart remains.

    1. Well, unless Mlle Fifi, OM or a new Pessoa turn up in The Arms, it will just be nothingness from here on in. The jukebox has been unplugged.

  2. Another great chart. Glad to see the 'New York Dolls' on the list as I recently watched a new show here in US called 'Vinyl', which is about the rock scene in the 70's and they mentioned the 'Dolls' and Lou Reed. The picture they are painting of the 70's is awfully bleak at times. I have also been busy reading your blog, which has been quite intense of late as you have covered writings from a different site which, with the comments, is a lot to read and digest. It is all worth while, but did take some time. Well, I hope all is well with the other BRS members and that they have a good week. Oh, by the way, I noticed that one of the 3+wishes was for Boz to have his talent more appreciated by all. I had often wondered why so far it hasn't been.

    1. I'm guessing that's one of your not very subtle hints as to where M is. Funnily enough, this blog has had a fair few hits recently from the land of ire.....maybe Daniel O'Donnell has stumbled across me blog!

    1. Fair enough, but I have had a lot of Irish hits. What did your comment mean then?

    1. Dear EARS, You need to go to waste in The Wrong Arms; but don't expect too much, as neither OM nor Mlle Fifi have been seen for a week. As for your reaction to the menopause, I find it hard to understand why any woman would have feelings of shame or a fear of judgement - it is just a natural part of the ageing process. I guess the male equivalent is baldness or a floppy wotsit.... which actually are both far worse than the menopause, as they are visual things, which leave men open to ridicule. In summary, women have it far easier than men.... well, you couldn't possibly have expected sympathy from old Rat!

    2. I would like to say pull yourself together Ears, as they used to do not so long ago, however, things have moved on since then and modern science tells us that we are all different, you take as long as you need, we will still be here somewhere on the interwebby thing, you have always been my favourite pirate, (maybe because you are the only pirate I know), take care for now xxx

    3. On reflection, I'm not convinced it was a decision to share, but it felt like the right thing to do at the time
However I do appreciate you all taking time to comment.
And thank god nobody glibly suggested HRT -a commonly used one in UK contains pregnant horses urine. How inhumane & cruel.

    4. I can relate with what you are saying, but not by personal experience, but rather through my experience with others. My mother personally did not struggle with it, but I know of others that have and do struggle with menopause. I vividly remember, she would stand in front of the freezer because she felt her body was on fire. I wish I could say something to make it better, but life doesn't work that way. KNOW, I know the pain it causes. KNOW, I understand. KNOW YOU ARE LOVEDDDDD.

  7. Dearest EARS, you will always be a treasured part of the BRS and always belong here - you've been such an important part of the journey and we've missed you very much. As Marcus said, please know that you're definitely not alone and our thoughts are with you. Take care of yourself - you know where to find me if you'd like to chat x

    1. I think the quiet unhinged one, rather than treasured. But thank you sweetheart x

    2. I suspect that you're probably not the only one who feels unhinged by life - I certainly consider myself in that category. Don't forget that you are the essential 'air' element of the BRS and have probably gone to more concerts with a blue rose in hand than anyone else.
