Day 2313 - The chart returns

There is no sign of the new parody piece we were promised by Alf, and no sign of any old classics as hinted by Morfessa. There has also been no sign of either Alf or Morfessa in The Wrong Arms, but as the tour approaches, and as the TV work hots up (a Graham Norton recording yesterday and a Berlin show next week), I guess it's only to be expected that we will lose Moz from The Arms.

So, with no news to report, I shall publish a chart instead. Back on Day 2265 I wrote that Bitchy Bobby Neville had taken over as the new DJ in The Wrong Arms, but he keeps forgetting to produce a chart, so today I took it upon myself to countdown a chart on Twitter; after all, we have all these wonderful new songs that need a chart placing. Here it is:

  1. Excellent chart. Any idea what the transistor radio had to do with 'All the Young People'?

    1. Joe tweeted, "Mixing for radio. 50 years ago". The song has a 1967 vibe to it, so maybe that's what he meant. Or perhaps there is something added to the album version.

  3. Glad to see the chart again, especially with the new recordings coming out. I will attempt to wish you a Happy Year #6 as I have been having trouble posting to your blog and it would not allow me to post at the time you wrote about year #6 Song #14 on chart seems to refer to the subject in your last post. Personally, I have begun not to believe everything I read or hear, and wait a few days to see if the truth will come out. Thanks for the chart and Congrats on # 6 again. Have a nice weekend. Here it goes as I hit publish, fingers crossed it will post my comment.

  5. This chart is a splendor of riches. All the new songs are so good, I really can't pick a favorite, and I love them more with each listen. Exciting times indeed.

  6. Still happily digesting all the new Moz material. His music makes me tingle in all the right places. When he sings, "heroin, heroin, heroin, heroin" in I Wish You Lonely, I can't help but think of myself. The first time I heard it, I was in my bed, in the darkness, and I sat up so fast when he sang those words. It was a jolt to my soul. When You Open Your Legs is another favorite of mine. Mmmmmm. His voice so soothing and his appearance so suave. Okay, I don't want to lay it on too thick, but I could. I am so excited about everything Morrissey that is happening. He makes my life so much more bearable and less miserable. Thank you Moz.

    1. There is more I'd like to say and questions I'd like to ask, but not here. Perhaps I can get the man into the ladies at the Wrong Arms to chat with me privately one day soon, should I be so lucky.

  7. Hi Ratty dear, wonderful chart, but I missed it! Sorry. My favourite of the new song actually is Jackie, but it'll change tomorrow or when I'll listen to the other new songs of the Long Playing....what a lovely word! Have a nice week end you all!😘

  8. Such a bevy of musical treats. My stand out song is the beautiful All The Young People Must Fall In Love. It is so powerful & uplifting. It vibrates energy & spirit. And the piano is delightful.
I don't know how Morrissey does it, but I am mighty glad that he does.
