Day 2348 - Happy Morrissey Day

Today is officially Morrissey Day....at least in LA at any rate, where tonight Morrissey will be playing to a packed out Hollywood Bowl.

In honour of this momentous day, I am wearing a blue rose in my suit lapel, and today's FTM is a video reminder of the five times that Morrissey has accepted blue roses on stage over the past five years.

  3. Of course, every day (everyday) is Moz day in our world so it's thrilling to have it officially recognized. Enjoy the day, everyone - especially you lucky people going to the Bowl tonight.

  4. I wasn't going to buy a ticket for the Palladium. Really. But I have no self restraint so to celebrate Morrissey day I bought a ticket, to add to my little collection.
I hope everyone has a grand day. Especially Morrissey.

  6. I've really enjoyed watching footage of the Bowl concert and of Moz receiving his award. Did the moth on his sleeve remind anyone else of Dawn tweeting about moths at the lighthouse?

    2. I was puzzling over this yesterday, I initially thought it was a butterfly. However on closer inspection it does appear to be a moth. And I do recall Dawn mentioning moths previously.

    3. Moths were a bit of a recurring theme for Dawn (as one can see by looking through her tweets). As a symbol, moths represent light and fire (among other things), which makes me think of Dawn and Fifi.
